WATCHOUT at World Nomad Games
Forty-four WATCHOUT channels and one hundred projectors provided the impressive projection-mapped backdrop for the opening and closing ceremonies of the second annual World Nomad Games! Held on the shore of Issyk-Kul Lake in Kyrgyzstan, the games are a six-day event celebrating Central Asian nomadic heritage. Forty nations competed in sports such as archery, eagle hunting, stick wrestling and Kok Buru (a fast-paced event involving horses, riders, and a goat).
The WATCHOUT multi-display show was programmed by Russian integrator and rental company, Solaris Video, and projected on a huge custom-built structure at the new 10,000-seat Cholpon-Ata stadium, as well as the floor area. During the opening and closing ceremonies, the WATCHOUT show not only provided the perfect backdrop for galloping horses, pyrotechnics, acrobats, and performers, but also brought to life the spirit of the games with effects like a huge eagle in flight.
