Challenge winner lights up Coyocan
August, 2017, Mexico: The winners of the Latin American Projection Mapping Challenge have been announced! The first show to be showcased was the winning entry for Mexico, produced by DUX Animation.
DUX Animation's spectacular contribution was displayed on the Church of San Juan Bautista in Coyoacan, Mexico on August 18 and 19. The theme is "Coyoacan — Stories through Light" and the projection-mapped show was delivered with WATCHOUT and seven high-power Epson L25000U projectors. Rain and winds did not deter the enthusiastic crowd who flocked to see the production on both nights. The event was covered on national TV and created a splash on social media.
Congratulations to the DUX Animation team: Daniel García Mino Director of Animation; Ana Ballesca, Executive Producer; Manuel González, Production; Mariano Ruiz, Lead animator; Bernardo Juarez, 3D Animator; Carolina Escartín, illustrator; Omar Zuñiga, 3D Animator; Roberto Arocha, 2D Animator.
"At DUX Animation we are very happy and we are proud about the recognition, because we believe that it highlights not only the company, but this first place in the first site of the international tour of the Mapping Challenge Latin America also puts the focus on Mexican talent and underlines that we are the best generating content globally," said Daniel García Mino, Founding Partner & Director of Animation and Creative for DUX Animation.
