Dataton showcases new series of high-performance media servers at InfoComm 2019
Dataton, the renowned AV technology manufacturer, will highlight the WATCHPAX 60 series of high-performance media servers at InfoComm 2019, booth 3215. With the latest processor technology under the hood, robust exterior and redundant power supply as standard, the new rack-friendly series is ideal for demanding applications such as live events, attractions and broadcast installations. WATCHPAX 60 is also the proud winner of the 2019 Commercial Integrator BEST Award in the media server category.
“We gathered feedback from key users during the design process to produce a plug-and-play media server series that would not only meet, but exceed, requirements for the toughest show environment,” says Lars Sandlund, CEO, Dataton. “The dual power supply, range of models, SDI bi-directional connector options and fastest discs in the market all ensure that even the most complex shows are delivered flawlessly.”
The new 2U media server will be available in three models offering from 4 up to 12 outputs and support for uncompressed video playback. Each model features HDMI and SDI input, balanced audio, dual 10 Gbit/s network for high-speed content transfer, high performance ultra-durable media storage, as well as a WATCHOUT license. The intermediate and top-end models include hardware synchronization, with the top-end model also featuring an eight-channel bi-directional SDI card for live video capture and playout. Weighing in at a handy 10 kg, WATCHPAX 60 sports a rugged aluminum chassis, and a smart approach when it comes to installation – tabletop, rack-mounted or stacked.
Dataton offers a wide range of media servers for different applications, from pocket-size WATCHPAX 20, slim WATCHPAX 4, to WATCHMAX 4U rack-servers. This new series is a powerful high-end solution that is portable and practical for users on tour, in the studio and the largest venues.
