Dataton launches educational community to promote new industry talent

Linköping, Sweden: Dataton has rolled out a new initiative designed to inspire and engage both students and educators. The Dataton Academy Educational Community will offer curriculum support, certified training and teaching discounts to learning institutions around the world. A natural progression of the company’s successful Dataton Academy professional training program, the new initiative will help prepare students for potential careers in the AV industry.

The Dataton Academy Educational Community will be officially launched at the Integrated Systems Europe trade show and will offer educational institutions worldwide a range of valuable assets. Benefits include discounted software and hardware for registered institutions; user communities; a platform for distribution and sharing curriculum content, and free industry-certified training for students and educators alike.

“As part of the Dataton Academy Educational Community, students will be able to access and master the same multi-display software that is used by creative directors, event operators, designers and artistic masterminds worldwide,” explains David Aleksandersen, Marketing Manager, Dataton. “Besides the obvious financial advantages of joining, we offer teachers and educators the opportunity to share and discuss the creation of educational content with curricular goals.”

The Dataton Academy Educational Community will be led by David Aleksandersen, currently guest lecturer at Østfold University College, in Halden, Norway. “As an educator myself, I understand the importance of exchanging information among peers, and the value of being able to put theory into practice. The community will provide students with relevant skills for their future careers – including product certification – and help develop their creative potential.”
