eyefinity - screen tearing artifact

Sometimes we're using the display machines for other applications than Watchout as well. Last week we used a system with a eyefinity 6950 card for simply playing a mpg2 video with windows media player.
I noticed a visual artifact called screen tearing.
Searching the internet I found discussions about eyefinity setups which cause this artifact.

"The problem is all about timing between the converters, while using a mixture of inputs and monitors have different timings for each."
"The problem stems from using more than 1 type of connector for your monitors."

In our situation we used one straight DVI connection for the primary monitor and a displayport to DVI adapter for the secondary monitor. While playing the video full screen on the secondary output i saw the screen tearing artifact.
Connecting both monitors with a displayport to dvi adapter solved the problem.

Just wondering how Watchout handles timings of the multiple outputs and if anyone saw this artifact while using Watchout with eyefinity cards as well?

Kind regards,

Display cluster issues

Hi!

I've been reading through the user guide and am going crazy trying to find the solution for this problem. I normally work with lights so
the world of media servers is a little new to me. Basically, I have to watch out computers with two movies, one which is looping and the
other has to be triggered at a particular spot in the first movie. I've been trying to use the string output with tcp but not having any luck,
hopefully i've just missed something.

Computer 1: 2.0.0.2
Computer 2: 2.0.0.12

Trigger output is 2.0.0.12, ip port number 3039, protocol TCP. Is this correct?
The trigger control cue is named Countdown Start and has the data to send "run" (without "")

I'd really need some help here!
Thank you...

Will Intensity Pro card capture audio?

Working on putting out some fires, wondering if anyone's got experience capturing audio from the Intensity Pro HDMI capture cards. I don't have a way to test myself right now, just trying to orchestrate a backup and can't find info on this.

Timecode chase

I am testing the timecode chase function, and are seeing some results I was not expecting.
I am using version 4.22.
I am feeding non drop LTC into the production computer.
When I use Dataton TC Tester utility, it tracks the source accurately. I can play back a TC segment, pause the source and the TC player and the TC tester utility match up.
When I open a Watchout show, enable TC control and create a TC status window, the TC status window tracks accurately.
However, the actual show timeline does not track accurately.
When I stop the TC source deck, the values of the 'paused' timeline do not match the value of the TC status window.

For example, if I pause the TC playback deck after 27 minutes, the difference is over 2 seconds.
Is this a 29.97 vs 30 fps, or a drop/nondrop issue? I have the display framerate set at 60fps at this time.

Thank you,
